On June 27, we observe World Diabetes Day. It is a metabolic disorders, characterized by elevated blood glucose (sugar) levels. Diabetes occurs from a defect in the production or action of insulin secreted by pancreatic beta cells. Remember about regular tests, because chronic hyperglycemia is associated with damage, dysfunction and failure of some organs.
